Family and Support Services

Chemical dependency affects more than just the person with the problem. Family, friends, loved ones, business associates and others may experience problems.
We offer programs designed to help and support not only the patient but also those close to him or her. Family and support services include:

  • Family Program - This program offers each patient and their family an opportunity to learn more about the disease of addiction, family systems and tools for recovery. This is an intensive 3 day multi-family program.
  • Family Education - A four-week series includes education and group meetings. Topics include the disease of addiction, communication, enabling and co-dependency. These groups are held on Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons.
  • Parent Groups – These meetings are held Monday evening to educate parents on how to understand and cope with their loved one’s addictions and how to serve as a more effective parent while in recovery.
  • Multi-Family Process Groups- Groups led by licensed chemical dependency counselors to assist families in addressing their feelings, concerns, struggles and triumphs during the recovery process.
  • Aftercare (peer-led) - Services available for all our patients’ families. Theses groups encourage and teach families how to further use their recovery tools.
  • Al-Anon Meetings – Meetings for families and friends who have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Sessions help participants find solutions that lead to a more peaceful lifestyle. PaRC hosts Al-Anon meetings on Tuesday evenings.
