The Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) is a nationally recognized, free-standing alcohol and substance-abuse treatment center. This center of excellence provides the highest quality of care in a confidential setting for individuals suffering from alcohol and drug-related problems.
Our international Program is a 30-60 day program designed specifically to treat the chemical dependency needs of the Latino and Spanish-speaking community. Chemical dependency impacts a person’s relationships, recreation, home and work life. Untreated addiction often results in financial, legal and family difficulties. The bilingual and bicultural PaRC staff helps people who have turned to alcohol and other drugs to redevelop healthy, productive and meaningful lives.
Program Services
- Detoxification - In the first phase of treatment, nursing and clinical staff monitor and assist patients during the detoxification or withdrawal process. We provide daily assessments by a physician and 24-hour monitoring by our staff of experienced chemical dependency.
- Residential Treatment - In this phase of treatment, patients are provided education as well as individual, group, and family counseling sessions, 12-step support group meetings and activities designed to enhance the recovery process in a comfortable, private environment.
- Partial Program – day treatment - A full-day treatment program parallels the residential treatment services while allowing the patient to return home or reside off-Campus in the evening.
- Transitional Living - This service provides a safe, structured environment that allows individuals still engaged in treatment to continue their recovery while beginning to participate in outside work and family activities.
- Intensive Outpatient Programs – day and evening - Educational and therapeutic treatment services are offered during the day and evening hours.
- Family Services - Family education and counseling sessions feature licensed counselors and incorporate additional support from the family aftercare program.
- Aftercare - Our weekly continuing-care program is peer led and/or professional led for one year following the completion of treatment.
- Relapse Prevention - Education and support groups assist in identifying relapse warning signs as well as early intervention planning.
- Twelve-step meetings - Daily, open 12-step Meetings include Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, relapse prevention support groups and Al-Anon.
